Macy Gray) music video, produced in partnership with LimeLight Animation and released in 2021. <\/p>\n\n<p>The idea was to show an emotional journey of friendship, confidence and transformation between Vella\u2019s character and her best friend, a giant caterpillar.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ilustrograma.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Blue_bloco4_v01.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-219\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Besides the characters that were based of Vella and Macy Gray themselves, we took inspiration from the 1941s Disney movie \u201cFantasia\u201d to create our magic universe. Despite being a drama, we decided from the beginning to tell the story with humor, irreverence and psychedelia. <\/p>\n\n<p>This was the project with the biggest animation team we\u2019ve worked with here at Ilustrograma, with seven animators in total.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ilustrograma.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Blue_Storyboard_v07_semtexto.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-222\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Blue was created without a main script with all the scenes, only a inicial synopsis of the idea. So we had the freedom to create all of the story sequences directly in the storyboard \u2013 that we produced in black and white on Storyboard Pro to show the entire film. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ilustrograma.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Blue_ColorScript_v02.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-216\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>To show the various atmospheres in this universe and how they progress during all the transformations in the story, we created the color script, simply coloring all of the frames in the Storyboard.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ilustrograma.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Cena02_Makingof_Quadrada_v02.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-213\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ilustrograma.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Cena14_Makingof_Quadrado_v00.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-217\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Here we show a bit of the process behind the scenes of the music video, that was created by our team in four months.
