Illustrating a book with such a rich history was a pleasure!
We created the cover and all the internal illustrations for Chico Lima’s Gato Rijinka book.
In response to a need for very fast delivery, we created a hybrid system using hand-drawn character styles and backdrops, combined with the use of AI to provide backgrounds, elements and textures that helped us compose the book’s internal illustrations.
Sketch and finished book cover. The brand created for the cover was thought out with great care, referring directly to the cat. The color, the three dots on the cat’s nose and Rijinka’s tail are all present in the branding.
